About Me

I am an independent jewelry appraiser in Nashville. I began traveling to Middle Tennessee in 2003 to conduct appraisal clinics and immediately fell in love with the area. I moved to Franklin, TN and opened my office in January, 2005 where I see clients by appointment.

I have conducted appraisal clinics for Littman Jewelers, Zales, Whitehall Jewelers, Fred Meyer Jewelers, and other national retailers. I apprenticed under Teresa V. Torguson, G.G. of Accurate Gem Labs, Inc., Portland, Oregon for six years. Teresa’s detailed and comprehensive approach to appraising formed the basis for the model I use in my work. I completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP Course, 2012-2013; The Appraisal Foundation) in 2013 and the 2014-2015 update as I pursue additional education through the American Society of Appraisers. I have completed three of four core ASA courses: Introduction to Personal Property Valuation, Appraising Gems and Jewelry for Insurance Coverage(fantastic!), and Appraising Gems and Jewelry for Advanced Assignments: Development and Report Writing,, as well as other ASA appraisal classes.

I am truly independent; I do not sell or buy jewelry.
